This photograph caught my eye and I smiled at the sheer beauty of it. When I discovered who it is who made this photo, I smiled at the familiarity. 'Of course,' I thought. You consistently do lovely photographs which often peak the imagination. I do hope, now, that you don't feel flooded by my voice, as this would be the second critique I've given to you.
This photograph is, of course, lovely. It is appropriately named: the metal butterfly looks like he's carrying the bulb. As for technique, I don't even think I need to say anything. The composition flows rightly; nothing seems to disturb the photograph. Or as I may put it, the composition is comfortable. Nice contrast between the out-of-focus rain drops and the in-focus ones. Lovely blurred texture background. The butterfly introduces a new color which contrasts the background, and that color scheme is echoed in the bottom right corner, like a decrescendo it fades from the picture to make it more appealing. Overall, this photograph simply feels comforting, despite the often uncomfortable elements of rain and cold colors. Nicely done.
