What I like the most in this picture is the way the light goes through the fruits. When I look at it for some time, the pomegranate begin to look like tiny, eatable jewels. I also find the lighting very suitable for the picture. From my perspective, I see this picture as a very well shot, on an artistic and on a technical point of view. I do not quite see why the cup is set on this... clipboard (?). Even though the leather-like surface contributes to the composing.
It is a superb example of "still life" photography, I wish I'd see more of that !
a wonderful place off of foreground and background. the blurred background brings focus to the pomegranate seeds. and the very cute tea cup. i also like the shadows. my art teacher would call them "idiot lines". it's not offensive, humans are draw to follow lines (to see what it leads to, in this case to a treasure). and the shadows that lead to the cup are a great example of such. the way the light dances across the clear seeds is....dazzling. i like that you used a tablet as a base. this piece is cleverly simple and greatly enjoyable. it inspires, and should be admired.
