This is incredible and exquisite work!
Here's why: The rhythm and flow are beautifully composed. The viewer’s eyes are lead around the image by the arrangement of the subtle symmetry. There are some I’m sure, that only see an image of a fish, but I see much more than that. I see movement expressed here; I see life and light represented by the symbolism of the sun-like spherical object in the upper right corner. The fish appears to have been frozen in time, in the midst of a dance that it is performing to please the Great Spirit, the Sun. There is also another way of interpreting this; for instance the viewer might see an abstract representation of the opposing forces, fire and water locked in an infinite battle. All of the elements in this image are tied together by the artist’s skillful eyes in knowing how to compose such a seemly simple collection of objects; ah, but that is the beauty of it all. To take a few small and obscure bits of information and turn them into a work of art that is not only visually stimulating, but also stirs a brew of magical enchantment and captures the viewer’s imagination.

Now to explain my ratings:
For Vision: I felt that this deserved five stars because they did more than just draw the viewer in; plus the skilled artists usually knows what they are doing or has set out to do when they are inspired to create.

For Originality: I gave two and a half stars seeing as how this has been done countless times before, but only with shooting a fish in a bowl or tank and nothing more. But this could deserve five stars if what I have been compelled to share is truer then I may know, and the artist had truly set out to create what I the viewer can’t help but see.

For Technique: I gave five stars because this photo is oozing the tell-tale signs of a skilled artist, a true master of the craft. The attention for detail, the understanding of form, rhythm, and symmetry; even if this is all nothing more than simply an intuitive capture, I am in awe nonetheless.

For Impact: I had to give this impeccable beauty five stars; anything less would be an injustice and a lie in my opinion. I was captivated, and my imagination was rejuvenated from the very moment I was drawn in. I couldn’t just write the same old cliche phrases I had seen written thousands of times before. This deserved more then, wow, incredible, beautiful, amazing, excellent, pretty, I’m speechless, I love it, and well, you get my point. A complimentary word is pointless if it lacks conviction. The least any viewer could do is tell the artist in more than one sentence why the work is deserving of any one of these words. I’m more then sure they would appreciate it, but if all they are given are these one-worded exclamations, I suppose that that is better than nothing.
